Sacramental Records for St. John's Church, Hadley (founded 1915)
and Holy Rosary Church, Hadley (founded 1917)
as well as for Most Holy Redeemer Church (established 1992)
are kept at Most Holy Redeemer and may be requested from us.
Please note that we are unable to do extensive research for family history or genealogy research because of our short office hours. We will be happy to help with any simple request for information on a person who received sacraments 1915 to 1930 only, because of legal privacy restrictions.
Note that we have no records here dated before the founding of our parishes in 1915 and 1917. The Hadley Catholic community, prior to those dates, was served by clergy from parishes in South Hadley, Amherst and Northampton, and since there was no Hadley parish, they would have recorded sacraments in those parish record books.
Holy Rosary Cemetery was established in 1926. Burials prior to this took place in one of the Hadley Town Cemeteries or in a neighboring town, such as Amherst, South Hadley or Northampton.
